Brayden has been boxing with New Waterford Boxing Club for the last 4 years, after his dad had mentioned that there was training available. He likes the sport of boxing because of the people he meets, the friendships that are made, and the amazing sportsmanship all boxers have towards each other.
Brayden has plans to stay in boxing as long as he can, and maybe one day looking at going professional, but if that doesn't work out for him he plans to move out west with his uncle.
His advice to future boxers is "don't be nervous about getting hit, because it will happen, but you get used to it. And after a bit you don't worry about it as much.
New Waterford Boxing is a great place because we get lots of sparring in and a great workout. Brayden thinks boxing is fun and enjoys the team atmosphere the club always has.
Brayden put in a hard fight Saturday on our fight card, maybe harder than any other as he was fighting against his teammate Matt Ross. Brayden's current record is 5 wins and 6 losses, with 2 TKO's and 7 exhibitions.
