Parker got involved with our club because his friend Matt coaxed him into joining boxing to bring him out of his shell and give him a boost of confidence. He enjoys boxing because its an individual sport, it's exhilarating and the best way to get rid of any aggression that he may have built up after a hard day of classes.
For anyone looking to join boxing, Parker defiantly suggests coming to the New Waterford Boxing Club because of how everyone gets along, "if you make mistakes there is always somebody there to show what you are doing wrong, and you have to love the older gentlemen in the back always cheering you on!". Parker likes the New Waterford Club because they do alot of things together as a group, "it's not just about boxing, it's about friends coming together.
Parker currently trains 4 days a week at the club, and entered the ring for the first time last Saturday at the Albion Fight Card and walk away with the win!! In the future he plans on becoming an RCMP officer.
